Neil Howlett advises on Commercial & Corporate Law and Commercial Property for clients ranging from start-ups to national businesses. This including business structures, acquisitions, and contracts. His emphasis is on practical solutions to risk, that meet the needs of real businesses.
He has many years experience of Dispute Resolution + Litigation including defending serious fraud. Having seen what can go wrong he is putting that experience towards preventing disputes.
Neil also advises on Intellectual Property Rights, on which he has co-authored a book for independent film producers, and Employment Law including employment contracts, restructuring, and TUPE issues.
Neil Howlett is responsible to the SRA as the firm’s Compliance Officer for Legal Practice and is the Complaints Partner. He is able to put his experience in charge of Quality Management to good use for clients. Neil is also Partner with responsibility for Strategy and for Community Social Responsibility, ensuring that his advice to clients is both up to date and practical.
Neil joined Harris + Harris in 1987 after working in Bath and Canterbury. He is a past President of the Frome & District Chamber of Commerce.
