Investment. Why should you give up some of your business? Is a %age of a big pie better than 100% of your pie? And who is the right investor, anyway.
The world of private equity, venture capital and angel investors sometimes seems like the world of Silicon Valley. But the truth is that businesses can scale much faster with the right investors. Yes, you need a pitch and a business plan with a forecast based on assumptions you can back up – and adjust to show that you know the impact if your predictions don’t materialise (we all know that the one thing we can be sure of is that a forecast will be wrong!). But the work to prepare this doesn’t have to be difficult, and the reward if you get it right significant.
Invest 2 hours of your time on the 19th May, 9-11am, to explore the world of investment with Ian Lloyd from Milsted Langdon, Hollie Edwards-Davies from Harbourside Corporate Finance and Matt Browning from The FSE Group. The return will be well worthwhile.
Tickets are fully funded (and include a breakfast roll).

Are you a business owner? Like the idea of money you don’t have to pay back?
The grant landscape has changed dramatically since we left the European Union. But that doesn’t mean there are none to be had. Dr. Ben Masheder from Innovate UK will be joining us to talk about the UK’s Innovation Agency and the general UK grant landscape.
Join us at Little Walcot on June 9th, 9-11am, to explore what is available, and how to apply.
Sponsored once again by Milsted Langdon and Harbourside Corporate Finance, this event is fully funded (and includes a breakfast roll and coffee).
Grants are the only form of funding that don’t need to be repaid – although there will be conditions (usually relating to GVA – Gross Value Add) to be met.
Want to understand more? Book your place now.
We deliberately keep attendance low to ensure everybody gets a chance to speak.

This event is for you if you are an owner or Director of a food and drink business located in or around Frome.
The next Frome Food and Drink Forum, sponsored by Marston Foods and Mogers Drewett Solicitors, will meet on Tuesday 2nd June at Little Walcot, 9-11am.
The theme for the discussion will be sales and marketing, and are excited that we will be joined by Stuart Martin (Ethical Sales Pro), and Ben White (Ben White FMCG Sales), two sales and marketing experts who will help you to identify your target markets, how to reach them, and how to sell to them.
Tickets are fully funded, and include tea/coffee and a breakfast roll. Members and non-members of Frome Chamber are all welcome.
Places are deliberately limited to ensure everybody has the opportunity to participate in the discussion, so book early to avoid disappointment.

This is the first in a new series of Frome Chamber events, sponsored by Milsted Langdon and Harbourside, aimed at business owners that would like to understand more about the various forms of funding, how to evaluate if they are appropriate for your business, and how to access them. We will be joined by Ian Lloyd, Partner at Milsted Langdon, Hollie Edwards-Davies from Harbourside Corporate Finance, and Amanda Sheppard from The FSE Group for an interactive discussion of where and how to access debt funding.
Join us at Little Walcot, 8 Stony Street, Frome on the 17th March. We will be gathering from 9.00 for a light breakfast, and sitting down for an engaging discussion and Q&A with our invited experts from 9.15-11.00.
Registration essential, but numbers are strictly limited, so book today.
Tickets are fully funded by Milsted Langdon.
